SOUND FADE DOWN – MARK YOUSSEF & NIVIKOFF

Pro-B-Tech next edition is a really interesting and quality international collaboration between “Mark Youssef & Novikoff“

This is a collaboration of real distance that wouldn’t have been possible in a postmodern world without such communication technology. Whilst Mark is based in Egypt and Novikoff from Russia the two have broken the rules of same place same time

Both Mark & Novikoff are very active figures as DJs in their own territories with a combination of their very tasteful radio shows including Marks “Sleek Frisky Radio Show” and live club performances. “Novikoff” as a solo producer is already a familiar name with likes of his ear raising remix of “Sapiens. Bye Bye Ziggy” and much more.

The title track “Sound Fade Down” is a real quality affair that combines all the infectious elements of a well thought-out and intricately worked electronic composition. It covers a crossbreed of influences from deep house, progressive to tech house but merged into one absorbing atmosphere with engaging synth hooks. The transitions from start to finish in this track are very smooth building whilst also providing intensity and an all round unique hypnosis.

First of the remixes is by “Downgrooves” who some will know from their output as “Mario & Eric J” with labels such as “Armada”. This Texas outfit has provided a more dreamscape atmosphere with great tech driven house stabs.

It’s got a more transient feel to the mix with a prominent punch that will certainly create some speaker movement.
“Alejandro R” moulds the mix with more groove featuring the bassline from the original and vocal snippets.

Once more we have a greatly worked soundscape that rises drawing your attention the more you listen and funky synth stabs that keep you looked into the rhythm of this great work.
