PANDORUM E.P. – FEHRER

Liverpudlian producer Fehrer debuts on BTechNoir with the delivery of a four-track EP.

The neophyte curator could be deemed a ‘new kid on the block’ but has already made waves with releases on Under No Illusion and the long-standing Baroque Records.

“Get Funky” sets wheels in motion with a predictably funky bow, oozing dancefloor-centric attributes not devoid of musicality. With its foundation around an irrepressible ‘Get Funky’ vocal stab, the track bubbles and pops with energy, fostering an enticing tone for early evening tastemakers.

“The Groove” continues Fehrer’s trend of aptly named music, a track undeviatingly saturated in rousing rhythms certain to stimulate the most reluctant of dancefloors.

The penultimate offering “Pandorum” is a little deeper, with connotative textures of a spacey and futuristic nature. None of these trippier elements are at the expense of yet another ferociously effective groove, however.

Completing the package comes the candidly titled “The Beat”. Much like its counterpart, the track showcases Fehrer’s abilities to combine musicality while simultaneously attentive to the requirements of the dancefloor.
