The next addition to the Pro B Tech repertoire sees fledgling artist, Austrek, unleash some devastating artillery.
Lead track ‘Drive’ is a suitably-titled, throbbing, progressive roller. Old-skool techno vibes collaborate expertly with a glittering series of emotive pads, chords and arps which have become the hallmark of the label. Despite a limited discography, it’s clear that Austrek knows how to deliver dancefloor bombs with an accomplished alliance of ear candy and dynamism.
And if not sufficiently whetting one’s appetite, we are treated to a further tasty cut in the contemplatively dubbed ‘Meet Me In Montauk’.
A bolder, more striking soundscape is the order of the day here, owing to big drums, big hooks, simply a ‘big room’ sound. The track’s beauty centres around a marriage of razor-sharp percussive power and stunningly emotive yet seemingly effortless chordal and melodic sequences. A triumphant conclusion to this brace of aural delights.
