Lee Jordan’s musical journey thus far has certainly been a meaningful one. It is beyond question, that the highlight of a relatively fledgling studio career came in the form of a remix for Basement Jaxx via their Atlantic Jaxx label, as well as previous remixes from TILT and Terracotta Army.
It is with great pleasure, then, that Jordan escorts us through next Pro B Tech chronicle. His single, ‘Inside’, is testament to a diversity of sound and range of influences clearly apparent in his prior productions and DJ sets. Soulful vocals are married with gnarlier, techier synth lines, while an uber-funky bassline and house inspired sounds form the basis of a track full of zest, melody and substance.
Our very own Zed White is first to take to the helm for remix duties. Adopting a marginally tougher foundation, power-packed drums throb and pulse as the musical elements wake from their slumber and the crux of the piece meanders into life. An undoubtedly more a progressive affair, a more sparing and textured use of the original vox is traded with a stadium-esque synth line destined to animate even the most static of dance floors.
Dublin’s Silinder also extends a recent chain of impressive remix work with his own interpretation. With a discography decorated by a plethora of work spanning well over a decade, it’s fair to say he has perfected a progressive sound which is further demonstrated by this brooding, crackerjack of a production.
