Daniel Brooks

Coventry [England]

Midlands based DJ & producer Daniel Brooks has been interested in Dance music since his early teens, a fan of daft punk ever since he first heard Around The World on Top of The Pops, which would then eventually lead him to buying and playing records on some cheap belt drive record players. Later in his teens he developed a fascination of how daftpunk made their music. Which lead him into sampling old and some times new records on his quest to learn about music production.
Fast forward 6 years after varying musical outputs including dips into IDM, Ambient, Electronica and Electro, He comes full circle back to Dance music, House and Techno in all it’s various forms. As a producer, his productions mingle between deep, minimal and tech house, his signature combination of low slung bass, snappy percussion, intense atmospheres, hypnotic synths and small vocal motifs ensure all his tracks appeal to both DJ & dance floor alike.
As a DJ, his passion for digging through back catalogues and deeper underground sounds are heard in his sets. Smooth and long drawn out transitions between three some times four tracks, with long stretches of hypnotic rhythm’s and rolling bass lines are common place, with the occasional vocal or classic track thrown in for good measure. His music has been released on Labels like Nervous Recordings NYC, Hungarian Hot Wax and Sequential Recording.
He’s part of the Lucky Life Music Ibiza family, regularly playing for them in the UK & Ibiza, He’s also a day one member and resident DJ for Birmingham event brand Third Eye Collective UK wheres he’s been doing warm up and closing sets for two years, so he knows how to read a crowd. Daniel commitment for playing and making great dance music has wavered in the past, but is know stronger than ever.
